Hey look! It's Nancy Drew!

I was going through Reddit when I found an article about a new Nancy Drew TV series that CBS is working on.

I'm not going to go in-depth with all the details, but I will be sharing my opinion.

I'm going to admit that I was excited about the news for like 2 seconds before I learned it was going to be a cop show. Here's what's up: Nancy is going to be in her thirties and she's working for the NYPD.

The concept of that seems a little nonsensical to me. I mean, Nancy Drew has changed over the years, but this change seems kinda drastic. She has always been known as "teen detective" despite the changes she has gone through so Nancy as an adult cop is kinda weird. (A cop show though, seriously?)

I know I can't exactly judge it since...well, it hasn't aired yet, but from the looks of things, I don't like where this is going.
